By reviewing the websites I have come to the conclusion that plagiarism can easily be avoided by following certain procedures. You should always have a works cited. You should always make sure that everything you get from other websites should be cited or you could get in trouble for plagiarism. In addition, I think that if other people check out the websites and other common craft videos then they will be more educated about plagiarism.
I think that it could be a good idea to set up a class Wikipedia because if we make one we can make it known to other people about plagiarism. If we do it we can tell the other people the consequences and ways to avoid plagiarism.
1. Please complete your KWL Tumblr entry from our class on plagiarism, paraphrasing, etc.
2. Brainstorm creative ways the entire freshmen class could most effectively collaborate to create a Digi Lit Wikipedia article. This may mean each class takes a section or maybe you have a better idea!…
1. “The Antarctic is the vast source of cold on our planet, just as the sun is the source of our heat, and it exerts tremendous control on our climate,” [Jacques] Cousteau told the camera. “The cold ocean water around Antarctica flows north to mix with warmer water from the tropics, and its upwellings help to cool both the surface water and our atmosphere. Yet the fragility of this regulating system is now threatened by human activity.” From “Captain Cousteau,” Audubon (May 1990):17.
The Antarctic is one of the coldest places on earth much like the sun is to heat. The water that is cold around the Antarctic flows to the warmer tropical waters. This is supposed to help the atmosphere on our planet; however, it is now being threatened by human activity alone.
